What does this even mean??? Who has to raise the bid/ask??? Who is they??? The bid/ask is determined by YOU, ME and EVERYBODY else wanting to buy or sell shares of a company. The bid price is determined by who is willing to buy the stock and at what price. The ask is determined by who is willing to sell shares at a given price. This is all determined by WE not THEY. This is basic, elementary stock 101 knowledge. But I really need to hear who you thought THEY were. The market makers, the company, gremlins??? WHO? Please share. Thanks
