Gollem, very true. It may well be that they want a low end chip that is not pressuring their ASPs. However, I would have thought a chip without the extra cache and memory controller (K8 or K7 core) might have been slow enough (and perhaps marketed as Duron64) that it would not have disrupted the ASPs of their higher end chips.
