Most retailers private label than don’t. Bottled water, energy drinks, clothing etc. There are a handful of large manufacturers in the United States who supply a vast majority of the CBD distributors and resellers. I’m in the copacking business. You don’t want to manufacture, you sell what is supplied by those who can output large qty daily. If Jerry ever tried to manufacture, he’d go broke in months and likely never be able to fund the operation. Packaging and formulating is very expensive, believe me. Formulating is a liability nightmare for consumption reasons. Bad enough for a retailer but for manufacturing, liability is high. Let the pros do that and share the risk. I own much of the equipment they would use in fulfillment so this is not foreign to me.
The franchise model is where he should stay. Endo is a brand with good reviews and there is enough interest to sell a few franchises. There will be more. I first visited the Lewisville store over a year ago. It’s impressive. Have not been to Rockwall yet but will in time. Plano too.
