I posted on the potential of Contango and Continental as CGRA buyers awhile back.
Still find it intriguing that at the beginning of this year, as CGRA was talking share agreement and having its Competent Persons Report done on its West Salt Creek asset, Contango headhunted and hired Fleur de Lis oil company's longtime Salt Creek Oil field production foreman, Robert Madding, to be Contango's production foreman in Wyoming. Perfect guy to have on your Wyoming drilling team IF you plan to slide him a few miles over to WEST Salt Creek. He knows that terrain best.
The Name that Merger Company speculation has been fun, but nothing tops having a "Final SPA executed" at this point. With whatever larger entity it is that's coming in to purchase and/or exchange CGRA's shares for theirs.
