I think Freeport has been busy with repair work since the June explosion, but it's taking longer than expected. First they said it would restart in July, then it was October, then November, now December ..... clearly it could get pushed out again.

Here's an interesting article about the incident. They knew there was a pressure buildup in a pipe but did nothing for 4 days until it exploded ...... if they had shut down operations for just a day or so the faulty pressure relief valve could have easily been fixed.
