LOL Can a PCTL Manager Get Fired or Sued for Nepotism? Some common examples of nepotism include hiring a relative for a job over someone more qualified, giving a promotion to someone related to you, and giving preferential treatment to friends and family members when doing business with them.
A CEO/Manager can’t get fired or sued for nepotism unless there are laws in place that illegalize this practice or the company has an anti-nepotism policy. Most states and countries have no common law or statute that makes nepotism illegal.
One opinion. I worked in the family business when I was younger, just out of school, which was a positive experience. PCTL's transition from a small firm to multiple subsidiaries due to growth/expansion will end such especially with coming retirement of the founder/family.
