seriously? rigged? The courts are there to assist the bureaucracy in the administration of crowd control. The last time I checked neither of those parties, which most often work together cared about fairness to the shareholders.

Even when it seems like a hint of fairness, it cuts the other way. For instance, in the "Collins" opinion, the GSEs were not insolvent at the commencement of the Conservatorship. That was not a promise to return value to the shareholders, but an affirmation that Chapter 7 receivership is not possible preventing the associated guaranteed shareholder standing and rights. Every other aspect is willy-nilly for the benefit of political use of the GSEs.
