I took it as simply saying to people something like don't become too full-of-yourself. Haven't looked into it at all. Off now.

Plato could have chosen his words more carefully, but that's my sense of what he was getting at.

A couple more ways of saying if drifted in today. Maybe he was saying, in the end, in the whole scheme of things no one's wisdom really isn't,
in any long run, going make any real difference. Maybe it was a clarion call to humility. Don't know, just thought to pass them on too.
