#87875 RE: vinnie1965 #87870

I had sold the majority of my shares years ago. I could never find an ideal way for holding which stock for the long term. I had several trip stocks in the past that looked like sure bets because of their connections to well-established, large-revenue, private companies, yet some of them went belly up as well.

There were just too many unpredictable variables for me. Sometimes a sham CEO would suddenly appear on scene, lessening the chance of success, or increasing the chance of dilution.

I finally concluded that the odds of a company going from low trips to dollars was so very low, that I just spread my investment around a bunch of them, knowing most will fail, or move slightly, while hoping that one or two of them will make up for all the rest.
