Trail scheduled to begin 10/17 (and it's trial by jury)
I expected it to begin AS SCHEDULED with a fully empaneled jury having undergone the selection process through the voir dire process which is done BEFORE trial is set to begin. Courts do this to ensure a jury is sat and alternates available so that trials can begin as scheduled. That did not happen here because the judge did not properly coordinate it.

As a result, the trial scheduled to begin on 10/17 did NOT begin...and there's no guarantee it will proceed today either. Hope it does, but I'm not holding my breath. It's often a good idea to be fully aware of what you're wagering on before doing so.
