The main units LBIE and LBI have paid everyone in full plus interest. All that’s left in LBI is general unsecured claims. But the total amount is $28 bil. And they have an allowed claim of $5.7trillion. At a mere 1% recovery on that 5.7trillion then the claims left will have a 100% recovery as well.
I don’t think the people who have LBI will have a problem selling their shares that represent a stake against the $5.7tril will have a hard time selling their securities on the open market. Because once again it’ll just take a 1% wind fall from the $5.7 trillion to see a full recovery with $20bil+ left over. Those are good odds, still A risk but it’s called an investment for a reason :)
