randall: I am for the most part self taught so I really can not recommend books. However, early in the stages of my original MDA/MDD thread on SI, there were many folks showing up on the thread that were new to investing. The thread found itself regularly answering the same questions repeatedly. So, one of the thread regulars at that time (Jon K) set up a MDA/MDD Help Thread as a permanent reservoir for the answers to those repeated questions. A few months ago the MDD Help thread was hijacked and used for one SI members personal posting repository. Why he did not start his own thread is beyond me. Fortunately SI Jeff renamed the thread and changed the header.

Below you will find the original thread header for that thread containing some of the recommendations made in Feb 1999. Some of the links may be stale, but it should give you a good starting place for helpful web sites and books.

If any of you contributing or lurking this new IHub MDD thread know of some better recommendations, now would be the time to anti up...<g>
