Quote: Based on the singular type of artifact located thus far in the area, it is our belief that this is likely not a primary shipwreck site, but rather one of several debris areas. We believe, based on current knowledge, that a reasonably large piece of decking or section of hull (but likely not the main structure) deposited in this area at some point in time. This piece of ship’s structure would have contained mainly spikes and other types of fasteners which, as the structure degraded and/or broke apart, deposited the artifacts over the area in various layers of strata. Given the artifacts are just below the shell rubble strata layer, they are indicative of floating scatter that settled in that area.

You know that I've been saying this for years (flotsam) well before Baer reached this conclusion. I knew this based upon the research produced by the late Jack Haskins, wherein it clearly stated the 'Concepcion' wrecked on a sand bank (shoal) well off of Canaveral. I had actually posted that data here before.

The intellectual brilliance of persons like the Timmy Toy inventor fall short on practical common sense. Repeatedly, total disregard is given to why a magnetometer survey never produced evidence of one single iron cannon of the 34 the Concepcion was armed with. Only one iron cannon was ever found, and that by Heartland, not SFRX. That sole cannon undoubtedly came into its present location as part of large breakaway decking. For me its astounding how clear the picture is but these people just don't get it, or should I say don't want to. What a clown show.
