It provides at least a clue as to why the death rate in all arms was comparatively low:

"Requiring invasive mechanical ventilation and/or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) at the time of randomization. • Has explicitly expressed the wish not to receive intensive care support (Do not resuscitate or Do not intubate order) should this become necessary. • In the opinion of the investigator, progression to death is imminent and inevitable within the next 72 hours, irrespective of the provision of treatment, such as rapidly progressive multiorgan failure."
Thanks for this update and link: If you pull up other outcomes analysis there appears to be some significant changes (must do a side-by-side comparison) to the clinical documentation. More favorable as far as we can tell, on the same data taken. I thought that there were more deaths due to the conditions of health status for subjects.
