I think most would like the December contract price as that's what we trade against. Plenty of spot price charts around.

In fact after looking at a few other boards, probably a good idea to check the entire gold space. GDX, GLD, GDXj... try to remember what change caused the issue. All of these should be pulled from a database anyway.
