I was being sarcastic there - Don't see enough people foolish enough to convert & shoot themselves in the foot by helping dilution to do this that it will pay off the CD anyway.

You bring up a good question though. Someone who knows how this works better than I do, please correct me if I am wrong, but I'm under them impression that if anyone does convert, then these new restricted common will come from JUST the conversion of preferred - in essence they are created from nothing.
