I have no problem with people who come here for sanctuary fleeing violence and also have no problem with illegal workers who come here every year to work. However, Republicans have to get off their ass and help with passing temp workers and immigration reform to shut all the bigots up.

Maybe the Republicans need to get off their fat asses and stop stalling on immigration reform, it's been almost 20 years. It was just like the issue of health care, the Republicans stalled and balked at addressing the issue. When you do not solve problems then your post about illegal immigration is moot.

thanks for your opinion but it makes absolutely no sense to consider a refugee a criminal. You do realize that it takes numerous years for a person too go through the process of becoming a citizen right? 10, 15 sometimes up to twenty years before they make it through the system.

Should we just lock them all in jail cells until they can be considered to pass your standard or let them go out and contribute to our society? Pay taxes like the rest of us and further our culture or steal their children from them and deport them back to god knows where because you all feel threatened that they might take your job or sleep with your daughter?

You don't care about them because they are a different color than you and are trying to seek a better life for themselves. You toss them into a shit pile and call them aliens, give them no due process and use them for political pawns because it makes you all wet to see them abused by your big tough lawmen.

Fix the system and it will work for all of us. Not just your scared white assses who only like to complain about everything and believe all the bullshit stories about some kind of electronic destruction of humanity.

Go live your fucking life and embrace and enjoy others. Quit looking under your bed for boogeymen.

Do you understand our law on asylum and refugees?

This definition is based on international law, specifically the 1951 UN Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. The U.S. is not a signatory to this Convention, but did sign on to its 1967 Protocol, which incorporates the Convention by reference. The Refugee Convention requires state parties to protect people living within their borders and prohibits them from sending people to other countries where they would be harmed based on their race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion. With the Refugee Act of 1980, the U.S. brought the refugee definition into our domestic law. The refugee definition is found at section 101(a)(42) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).
