My take:

Defense lawyers (3 high-priced-private firms) reviewed plaintiffs' filings that request certain items (probably embarrassing to the thieves) be allowed as evidence in the trial. The government goons have, to date, successfully shielded these records from the public. IMO they don't have a convincing argument to disallow these records from being admitted in the trial. They probably need time for the government to settle with the plaintiffs or pray for a miracle. They are asking that the August 17th date for filing their response be changed to August 24th.
