They did SOME research but not enough. The people that wrote this law seem to have done a good job at selecting the appropriate elements. Perhaps they should have also called Jim Sims who is the government affairs coordinate for the company the owns the second biggest REE deposit in the country. They should have asked him have you started construction? How long will it take to get this mine built and producing these elements? They have these escalating levels of domestically sourced mineral. If we get financing in the next few months we will already have passed four of the five dates listed by the time we are in operation. People that write this stuff think they can wave a magic wand and say make it happen. They really do not grasp how complicated and time consuming building a mine and processing facility actually is. They are probably also unaware that Niocorp is further along than nearly any other domestic source. They require 40% for vehicles before January of 2024. I really doubt that within 16 months of now there will be anybody producing AND refining REEs in this country.
