This will vary considerably by the indication. For instance, the % for the U.S. will typically be higher for a “lifestyle” drug than for a condition such as hepatitis or cancer. Moreover, some diseases such as HBV are heavily concentrated in one part of the world.

Still, it’s possible to employ a rule of thumb that is accurate enough for a rough assessment in most indications. I would say that the following percentages are reasonable:

U.S. 55%
North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico): 60%
Europe: 25%
Japan: 10%
Rest of world: 5%
