That is pretty
neat how that thing differentiates power on the ice..They seem to be hauling down Fisher's Road??? Hope they know where the Monroe Co. Sheriff's usually park themselves??If not have them call me- I got it down pretty well!! Suppose any tickets are just part of development expense-just a thought but perhaps the earlier scuttle butt of news on Monday is just a local followup to NASA
shipment ??? News is always welcome..ANNOUNCEMENTS even more so....

I hear.....

..there may be a segment on Torvec on the Channel 13 WHAM News This Morning show on Monday. The host is Evan Dawson and the show airs (TV) from 7:00 to 9:00 AM.

I'm not a cable expert (in fact hardly watch any TV at all) but the station tells me its cable Channel 13 and also Channel 16.(??). I suggest any interested parties check your local listings.

Dread and others.......,

What is your opinion about using the iso torque in the US mail trucks. The trucks seem to have a very difficult time gaining any traction when they move from 1 house to another on my street. there is a slight incline that sometimes requires them to backup and do a running start to get adequate traction.

Seems that the iso torque is the perfect solution for these mail trucks. I'm not sure who manufactures these trucks.

Two unrelated thoughts today on psychology (since Torvecian is now putting on the psych wing at Tor Arces!):

The first has to do with this new Iso-Torque video. I find the introductory caption unusual: ...Conditions: 15 below zero wind chill.

Isn't wind chill a psychological, not a phsycial factor? To a rock, a piece of metal, a road, a tire....wind chill means nothing, does it? Isn't it just a 'perception' to humans based on accelerated evaporation - ' it feels like 15 below'. Pump up the wind at a constant temperature and it feels cooler. What is the significance in a driving test? Artguy, maybe you can shed some light on this.

The second unrelated psycho thought deals with the recent attempted murder charges filed against that female NASA astronaut. I find it rather surprising given all the psychological and physical tests that I thought astronauts were put through that competitiveness and jealousy weren't seen as off-the-charts in this female candidate. Maybe psychological testing isn't as comprehensive as it is made out to be. Either that or some sort of organic psychological change can take place based on other emotions (such as 'love').

Anyway, today's random walk down the Psychology aisle!

NASA Astronaut Lisa Nowak Charged With Attempted Murder in Bizarre Love Triangle

U.S. Navy Capt. Lisa M. Nowak in her NASA photo, left, and as she was arrested on Feb. 5, 2007, right.

ORLANDO, Fla. — A NASA astronaut accused of trying to kidnap a romantic rival for a space shuttle pilot's affections was charged with attempted first-degree murder Tuesday as her lawyer sparred with prosecutors to effort her release.

Lisa Marie Nowak was ordered released on $10,000 bail and told to wear an ankle tracking device. That is in addition to the $15,500 bail that was ordered for Nowak earlier in the day for the attemped kidnapping charges.

Meanwhile, WFTV in Orlando reported that after the alleged recent attack, Orlando police encouraged the alleged victim, Colleen Shipman, to file for a restraining order against Nowak and a no contact order from Nowak's Navy commander.

In the petition for the restraining order, when asked how long the conduct has been going on, Shipman said the attack was one day, but indicated she was being stalked for approximately two months, according to WFTV. Also in the petition, Shipman says Nowak researched her personal information, including the flight, using government contacts or computer.
