“ have to think that at least these subcontractors have been shown how superior Prodigy silk is to mundane silk”

The only thing that has to be superior is the price they are paid to produce it. Don’t know why they would care about anything else.

but it would sure be nice if the coming video series had some way to demonstrate the strength of Prodigy spider silk vs. native dragline silk vs. mundane silk.

No idea what we will get, but it would be good marketing to have every comparison demonstrated in these videos. Roll up a kilo of mundane silk and DS. Do an elastic comparison, softness comparisons, Strength comparison. Basically anything that spider silk improves, head to head. We didn't make this stuff for apparel alone, and if our cocoons are larger or equal in size, show me what the advantages are. Thinner fibers means more SS protein....etc. Showcase the advantages. Why did this manufacturer make the switch?

Otherwise, why cut a deal with KBLB.

And give up some of your company?
How much of that company we will learn when the proper fillings are filed.

Hopefully, and I would assume, KBLB has ALL control of produced fiber. If not then I would have a problem and questions with this deal.

Else its golden, only reducing costs of silk production and passing it onto the producer. The biggest question mark is what percentage did they aquire?

All in all, good news. Now it's just more time we have to wait for. 90 days for ramp up. What's not clear is ramp up to what? Tons or kilograms? Once again kim has left it unclear. Weird.
