10 minutes is a huge amount of dwell time. Ensuring enough saturation and even coverage, while ensuring it doesn't dry too fast is not a safe bet.

By contrast, bleach requires a 1 minute dwell time while AHP requires a 2 minute dwell time, on average, for covid 19.

While many will say that hocl is a safer alternative, and I concur. It allows for too many things to go wrong so to speak. UV is gaining in popularity because it's wickedly quick at killing microorganisms and more or less safe to use. It also has draw backs, but the handheld units all but eliminate the line of sight issues associated with it.

Bottom line, hospitals like to mitigate risk and hocl doesn't really check that box off and in fact leaves quite a bit of potential risk on the table, even more so than the current Disinfectants hospitals currently employee (bleach, AHP, and uv)

. Dos make you wonder why hospitals have been so slow in renewing and/or expanding ties with PCTL.
