I tend to agree. We've moved from a financial scandal to political oppression of U.S. citizens by our own government. Common sense would dictate to anyone that it could only be intentional oppression when a wildly profitable corporation makes $12+/share yearly profit yet trades for 50¢/share; and will continue trading at this paltry level until the conservatorship is lifted. Who on Earth wants to own stock in a private corporation totally controlled by what is now, obviously, a greedy, corrupt government?

See KT, this is were you and I disagree.

I think we need to start launching more lawsuits against Uncle Suggy for their abusive and coercive federal government overreach.

See my last post for example.

The Gubmint has their arse handed to them daily in courthouses throughout this nation.

I am guilty of conflating ability and willingness here. I am able to launch a lawsuit, but I don't know of any claims I could bring that have both a reasonable chance of success and haven't already been tried.

Going after all of HERA is probably the best course of action overall, but that's still a very long and very expensive road with no guarantee of success at the end. I would even go so far as to call it a longshot given the seismic spasms the housing market would go through if you win.

You have even admitted to the difficulty and expense of such lawsuits in this post. I have neither the time nor money to pursue these courses of action myself, so in keeping with my signature line, I tend not to press these issues.

I do think you have a good point with regards to the Major Questions Doctrine. But the saying goes "it's not what you know, it's what you can prove in court". And FnF shareholder plaintiffs have had a pretty hard time of that thus far.
