The majority of the current Vietnamese silk is produced from hybrid eggs that are purchased from China. They use hybrids for the same reason KBLB is going to use them, to increase cocoon size and better production. This is nothing new to the silkworm industry. I have been wondering for some time now if KBLB managed to insert larger cocoon size into their homogeneous worms or if they would use hybrids. Now I have an answer.

This also reinforces my theory that Prodigy will just be producing eggs for third party contractors and not actually producing tons of finished product there.

I do agree that KBLB needs to show proof of what is actually going on.
