So, If I understand your thinking, the MMs create a market by shorting, and not so much by bidding it up.

When there are no retail buyers buying and causing the price to go up, the MMs will short the stock for only minutes, and drive the stock down in price value, to make a market, and cause shareholders to sell their shares, just to make a market.

Is that what you are saying.?
