Haven't been watching any of the latest pods. They're all the same bs anyhow talking about "liquidity" event...

I am very familiar with the color commentary meaning as related to sports announcers as I use to watch a lot of sports and new they called them color commentators. Although, I can't remember from where or last time I've actually heard them called that. Didn't have to check wiki to know where it came from.

Pretty dumb they would be saying it. They're NOT sports play by play announcers...

A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the play-by-play commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. The phrase "color commentator" is primarily used in American English; the person may also be referred to as a summariser or analyst. The color analyst and main commentator will often exchange comments freely throughout the broadcast, when the main commentator is not describing the action. The color commentator provides expert analysis and background information, such as statistics, strategy, and injury reports on the teams and athletes, and occasionally anecdotes or light humor. Color commentators are often former athletes or coaches of the sport being broadcast.

I’m sorry. I enjoy most of the comments and learn from many on here. But, to criticize the use of “adding some color” is flat out silly. I hear that phrase daily in meetings and is used as a nice way to transition to another person who may have something to add.

Criticize the strategy and results but not necessary to dissect every nuance and phrase IMO.

You guys are better than that…whether short or long on the stock.
