DD, they want to create DIGITAL currencies, for instant digital transmission of those currencies, which government currently is unable to do, along with the excessive fees of transferring non digital currencies, ie Western Union,etc.
It's quick and inexpensive. And in AABB's cryptocurrency, it is private and un-trackable by government, at least for the time being.
