Yes, but it is just s small step to cancel the preferred share dividend and pay a cash dividend instead (if that was the plan already).
It is a much bigger change of plans if they suddenly do a go private offer or tender offer as that would require an appraisal and BOD vote etc. In that case I would expect them to complete the 3-month review first. It's only 1 more month.
They are also under pressure. They need to disclose the assets somehow. quickly. Or face the wrath of the shareholders :-)
