Management takes the shares and can immediately sell them for cash equivalent to their pay. It is better than not getting paid at all as the company doesn't have the cash to pay them.
CYDY management already has a terrible reputation -- SEC investigation, DOJ investigation, FDA Statement, FDA Letter, 2 FDA trial stops, insolvent, vulture funding, etc. There is NO biotech that has such a dubious record of dismal failure.
