#2722 RE: Siruis #2721

A little research reveals...
the e-mail wire service can be subscribed to by anyone. For a fee anyone can submit a news release. The site advertises that your release will be sent to various other wire services
(ie. Business Wire, Google, Yahoo, etc.).
You or I could submit an email wire service news release. Because we haven't seen this released or published by any of the other news services, I have my doubts as to the validity of the news that was supposedly released.
However, there are testimonials by CEO's of companies that have subscribed to this service and the benefits they have enjoyed as subscribers.
In addition, I did a search of the service's news releases and got the response that there were no news releases avilable for Laidlaw Energy Group. Could it be that the news release was requested by someone to be released sometime in the future?
One other thing that puzzles me. Currently, the float is 39% of the outstanding shares. If someone were to offer a buyout, why would they limit their purchase to only 1/2 the float. You surely could not control or even come near to buying out a company with 1/2 the float.
I also have emailed the company asking if in fact the release was true, what impact it would have on shareholders other than insiders, and why this was not posted on the company website as a news release (assuming this was a valid news release).
If I hear anything, I will first decide whether to buy more and then make all privy to what the response was from the company. Unless of course the release was not a valid one, then without further consideration as to whether to buy more (just kidding of course) I'll let all of you know what the company response was.
Anyway, a bombardment of email requests about a buyout of the company should make management sit up straight and provide some sort of response either to those requesting info or a public response to the investment community.
Until I hear anything, we can all pray this is true.
Bob

you can view the home portion of the site and see what it is all about.
