Yes, it was smart for Lannette to offer to sell the Adderall for Elite. That meant when Lannette got Adderall approved all of Elite's customers become theirs and Elite has to start over at a significant disadvantage. If Elite had picked someone else to market the drug Lannette would not have a ready made without a customer base and would of had one more competitor to fight to take market from. Elite should have been smart and had a stipulation in the contract that the company that won the marketing contract could not also develop and sell the drug within xx number of years. But hindsight is always 20-20. I bet that is in future Elite marketing contracts.
