#720086 RE: Clark6290 #720078

In the short run, the court cases are important, of course, especially in regard to the stock prices. However, even if a win(s), the Government will appeal and that will stretch this out beyond the 2024 elections. But with the Republicans expected to take over at least the House with the 2022 elections, and Biden sinking in the polls, I think it gives the administration a new sense of urgency to end the conservatorship on its terms. Which means a ton of money for their housing programs. So I would not say the court cases are completely irrelevant, but for the folks who are counting on the courts to help us, I would also keep an eye on the midterms and especially the period shortly after that when we (at least me) expect to see the administration make its move (or not).
