I have never filed long term because it's not worth it to me to leave my money lying dead instead of selling and reinvesting it!
I was in a 35% bracket but only 27% total tax this year!
Again, taxes are no reason to not take gains when they present themselves!
People always want to scream 37% short term taxes! Only 1% of filers ever reach that bracket. Even then, 99% of them aren't going to be paying over 30% total taxes!
