They just run minecraft servers. Custom servers that allow players to play on them but GMER can customize the gameplay expierence to make their own twist on the game.
They can make money by charging for coins or upgrades for players characters and items.
So I don’t know much about the Minecade server (that is the official name that I saw on the site by GMER). My thought is they are using a base open source server to build a world off of. So there may be some base licensing they do and then you can go crazy. Like I said though this is not my area of expertise… maybe someone else knows something???
