Cal-Maine (CALM) the country's largest egg producer reports a 17 percent increase in expenses



If their birds get nailed with that Avian flu, their expense will go through the roof. Probably some of the expenses have to do with the defense of it. They're "watching", but so were many of the others and then watched their birds destroyed. Around 13 million birds now destroyed in 17 states. Some big egg and poultry meat farms were hit. And it's still expanding.

Who ever gets saved from their flocks getting it will be able to get a good price, supply is already getting limited and we're probably going to see $10 a dozen if it continues.

I put a few more of these in my pantry when the news first broke that they discovered it again. Not quite as good as the fresh, but not too bad, and better than nothing.
