#96036 RE: valuemind #96034

valuemind no, as I have now gone

to the bank for four weeks taking out quite a bit more(essentially doubling my portfolio), plus my wife doesn't want me to take out anymore. Thing is, even though I feel strongly that what we've seen this week is a bear market rally, I agree with her that I'd be foolish to start taking much risk as a % of past gains in this insane market. I now have around 18% of my cash, mostly from past gains, in my brokerage account. The 82% I have left in interest bearing accounts outside the market, I believe will earn around 4%/year by the end of 2023. I hopefully will make out nicely on the short side yet with what I have in my brokerage account, but don't plan to go back to the well till the market crashes- down 65%+ on average for the S&P, Dow, and Nasdaq. I believe we'll see that sometime over the next 5-7 years, and could last as long as 15-18 years.
