The new variant of Omicron is far more contagious, but fortunately a mild form of the disease if you're vaccinated. My wife and I both got Omicron, if we hadn't used a Covid test we'd have thought we had mild colds, but it definitely tested as Covid. I'm told that having it is like getting another booster and it's supposed to fight off the new variant, so there may be an advantage to getting it.

The negative side effect I've found is being tired more of the time. It's been over a month and I still feel that way, though it's getting better. Neither of us ever developed a fever, but if you have a mild cold, take a test, if you are positive, take precautions not to spread it, unless you have family or friends that actually want exposure.

I suspect that almost everyone is going to be exposed, if you're vaccinated you may not get it, but if you do, the odds are very good that you'll be fine. We need to realize that this isn't going away, it's become endemic and we'll be taking vaccines to keep infections mild fairly frequently, perhaps in time it will be incorporated into the flu vaccines we take annually. By the way, they pretty much guessed wrong on this years flu vaccine, it's only about 20% effective. I believe that our product can combat either Covid or flu, but it's best to stay protected.
