One of the things I do not understand is who is selling/bringing down the price and who is benefitting from it?
Seriously. The CEO has cut the share price in half while tripling the share count, and the only business development to speak of seems primarily for the benefit of his own private interests. The question isn't who is selling. The question is: why is no one buying??? The answer is obvious, and so is the answer to the other question. Who benefits from the constant degradation of share price over multiple years? Let's see if we can figure out the answer to this question. Who is the only person who gets more and more while our investment is worth less and less? Anyone can answer... if they are willing to be honest with themselves.
