Joe,

I agree on the moral compass and the business world needs to react to unwarranted adventures by "thugs". However, I expect a proper evaluation of company activities in regard to world events.

We had a very strong feeling Russia would invade and we also had significant warning on how the world would react. Telling us all is well three days before a probable invasion was really poor management. Tell us the truth and what would be the impacts is high class. I believe knowledgeable adults can handle anything.

This is not the first management failure. A quick look:

During the five years after the acquisition, Kinross recorded impairment charges related to Tasiast as follows:
