#31560 RE: KC01905 #31558

It's quite simple....no need to dirty it up.

IF YOU GET A 1099....THE I.R.S. gets one too......for you.
IF YOU DO NOT! get a 1099 the I.R.S. does NOT get one for you.

They, IRS will NOT be searching out exchanges OR PRIVATE WALLETS, for data downloads....NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
They will attempt to make 1099's widespread for tax year 2022....but I won't hold my breath on that claim.

AS FOR 2021......it's a FREE RIDE, enjoy it rather than be afraid of it!

RE:

Xumm maintains transaction histories you’re saying that’s not the equivalency to a 1099

CORRECTAMUNDO!

Someone posted a link here (trunovice maybe) that you can actually see which 1099's the IRS has on you NOW.

RE: XUMM- a "SELF CUSTODIAL WALLET"
Anyone looking for data from xumm gets this response below:

Bottom line--- GET XUMM.

In an official response to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Nunchuk replied that it is a “self-custodial, collaborative multi-sig Bitcoin wallet” and that it is a “software provider, not a custodial financial intermediary.”

Nunchuk’s team added:

“We do not collect any user identification information beyond email addresses. We also do not hold any keys. Therefore, we cannot ‘freeze’ our users’ assets. We cannot ‘prevent’ them from being moved. We do not have knowledge of ‘the existence, nature, value, and location’ of our users’ assets. This is by design.”
