Fred_Kadiddlehopper, the Fintel data is more up to date. Even without subscription. Between yesterday and now, the Fintel data for HALO increased the Inst. Inv. because Friday trading is already included now.
Nasdaq seems to be able to extract the short sells. Possibly they have continuous access to the FINRA data and hence can substract shorts from the total. Unfortunately they do it only once every 2 weeks. The FINTEL number is more useful as it indicates how many shorts will have to close by buying. Number-100%=shorts to close if number is > 100%.
The difference between the NASDAQ number 92.99% and 100% are the shares still available to the public of which some are with retailers, others in company stock plans, etc.
