The v-Wave is flattening out here even as the indexes search for lower levels. There's a lot of "sorting out" going on. It takes just a 22% gain in the latest 13 weeks to get one's stock listed on Value Line's "Best Performers" list. Best on the list is up just 55%. Over on the "Worst" list it takes a drop of 43% to make the bad boys list and a drop of over 63% to be listed the worst. This represents a significant change in money flow from the start of the year.
Declining stock issues outnumbered advancing ones by a 3:2 margin last week. New 52 week highs were just 2.9% of the issues traded while New Lows represented 18.8%. It looks as though sellers must have had greater motivation than buyers.
All of my trades last week were buys. I do have a couple of GTC Limit Orders in to sell, but prices moved away from my targets most of the week.
