I think if you you have paid in 100% (110% in some cases) of the tax liability from the prior year your not subject to any penalties and interest no matter how much you owe for the current year. I always try to put in 110% throughout the year so I don't have to worry so much about penalties and interest on additional taxes due.

Taxes sure should be a lot more stream lined; way too many complicated rules and uncertainties... Especially on crypto or other new areas :(

That's not so bad, I will wait until Goff takes off to pay them.
Then pull out taxes right away for next year 50%.
Goff taking way longer than I thought it would.
Expert market didn't help.
