As usual, we are left puzzling over the use of terms in KBLB’s PR. Deliberate? Misleading? Inartful?
Prodigy shipped over a year’s worth of production. If that amount was ‘small’ and they expect a ten-fold increase in production, that means a small amount of silk can be shipped every month. Not particularly reassuring.
But I recall a statement that Prodigy had sufficient silk for ‘thousands’ of yards of silk. One might ship a small amount by air, but the timing suggests a surface shipment.
I think the use of ‘small’ here is likely a lowball claim. Might it have been a ‘modest’ shipment? A modest shipment each month, not so bad.
No real way to determine the truth, but my best guess is that the shipment is larger than I would call ‘small.’
