Klaus, I'm still not fully convinced though, frankly.

A 90nm 4000+ 2.1Ghz 1MB L2 cache part does not exist. Half-multipliers, allowing clock speeds 1.9Ghz, 2.1Ghz, 2.3Ghz etc. were introduced with AMD´s Brisbane, and only there. That´s a fact.

If you google for AMD64 half-multiplier you find a mixed bag of reports 90nm parts can be manually set so, although it does only make sense if you also set memory-speed manually, and others claiming it cannot be done at all.

I didn´t mean look for hardware enthusiasts playing around with unsupported BIOS settings on 90nm parts. I meant that AMD´s CPU documentation specifies that as a new feature of the 65nm parts, as opposed to the 90nm parts that don´t support it.
