#17773 RE: StockDetective #17770

I have a hard time envisioning a buyout. Why bother? A larger competitor could just as easily go after the small number of UNQL customers. Make better deals and take that business away. A competitor could also easily poach employees or executives with contacts. I don't see a value in purchasing UNQL. No IP, no proprietary software, nothing of value other than buying space on a plane or ship for $1 and selling it to some end customer for $1.10. And frankly, what stops the end customer from going direct to the plane/ship operator to get that space for $1 themselves? Not wanting to deal with the constant negotiation headache is the likely answer. Just bite the bullet and pay the UNQL middleman.

Think America in the 40s-70s. The traveling salesman was the middleman who made a decent honest living. The manufacturers got richer and richer, but the middleman remained in the middle. Automation began to eliminate the middleman as time went on. UNQL is somewhat of a dinosaur company in that respect. IMHO
