News is a report of a recent event. So any news about Elite is not predicated solely upon their release of a PR. Many news articles about companies grace the pages of the WSJ and the news reported is no less valuable than a PR by the companies. News by virtue of an SEC filing is still news when it is shared. Obviously, that is how we learned of the Dexcel deal.

Which is it?

The answer is based on what we hear before Q3 because by then there either will be news of a BE study success and a potential filing or there will not be news. If there is no news at the point of the Q3 CC, the obviousness of the delay suggests a rather aggressive 10 months for Elite to meet that self-imposed target. Ergo, investors can reasonably ask the question....again! Still, it was a self-imposed objective and as anyone with knowledge of business well knows, sometimes the timeline for objectives move.

For example, any pharma firm waiting for the FDA to inspect their factory as a predicate to approval will be looking at some delay, as the FDA has put a temporary halt on inspections because of that pesky COVID-19 and now its Omicron variant.
