The malls have all become cesspools. When i was a kid Stratford in Bloomingdale was bustling with activity, now its a ghost town. Same with Charlestown in St Charles. Certain places attract certain types of people, thats for sure.
Going to Chicago for the air and water show was an annual event with my dad when I was a kid. Take the metra downtown, walk most of the way to the beach, get the full city experience. As an adult I have zero interest in the place. The last time I was out there i was duped into going after the friend who was driving told me he wouldnt take me back to my car so I said F it and we ubered to downtown. The night clubs are full of a bunch of scummy people who are drunk, drugged, and looking to bump uglies with who ever. At the end of the night a group of people were trying to fight the security. Its no wonder every bar pays security, when you have a bunch of bone heads who wont hesitate to assult or kill you over something as nominal as bumping into them on a rat fuked dance floor.
