That's how MM work . If they don't have shares in there inventory to cover a buy . They just naked short it and worrying about replacing the shares later . Usually the same day . It means nothing . But it is a cool excuse for a stock not preforming as the fantasy pumping predicts. Every stock with any volume at all is shorted daily. The monthly short interest here is next to nothing. As Finra plainly shows.
